HNB acquires $7M judgment against operators of Universe IPTV streaming service and permanent injunction.

On September 30, 2021, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas entered a final judgment awarding $7 million in damages against Mohamed Omar and Hossam Abd Elghany of Egypt, and Moustafa Maatouk of Germany for operating the Universe IPTV streaming service. A permanent injunction was also entered against the operators, their domains have been forfeited, and any future domains used to infringe are to be forfeited.
